Global Property Congress Student Volunteer Program 2025

The API Global Property Congress will be held from 26-29 May 2025 at The Hilton Hotel, Sydney.

Assisting with various aspects of the conference, student volunteers get the opportunity to network with delegates involved in all areas of the property industry.

Through the volunteer program students can:

  • Improve communication and organisation skills
  • Access the behind-the-scenes of industry events
  • Practice networking with senior leaders and representatives from the property sector, and
  • Discover industry trends first-hand at sessions and keynote presentations.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • A complimentary full registration to the Global Property Congress with some designated free time to explore the conference as a delegate;
  • A ticket to the Welcome Reception on 26 May
  • The opportunity to network with delegates working in the property industry

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

  • Be over 18 years old;
  • Be a current student enrolled in an Australian university;
  • Be a student member of the Australian Property Institute; and
  • Interstate students must arrange their own travel and accommodation

2025 TIMELINE:

  • Friday 4 April – Volunteer applications open
  • Friday 2 May – First round of successful and unsuccessful volunteers notified
  • Volunteer applications will be accepted up until the date of the conference, until all volunteer positions are filled.

Am I eligible to apply for the Student Volunteer Program?
To be eligible to apply for the Student Volunteer Program, applicants must:

  • Be over 18 years old
  • Be a student member of Australian Property Institute
  • Be a current student enrolled in an Australian university

 

Successful applicants will receive:

  • A complimentary full registration to the Global Property Congress with some designated free time to explore the conference as a delegate;
  • A ticket to the Welcome Reception on Monday 26 May;
  • Meals including evening canapes on Monday; breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea on Tuesday and Wednesday, breakfast, morning tea and lunch on Thursday:
  • The opportunity to network with delegates working in the property industry.


What are the benefits of joining the Student Volunteer Program?
Student volunteers will have the opportunity to gain exposure to numerous prominent companies within the property sector.
Volunteers will also be scheduled time to attend some sessions before or after their shift and are invited to attend the Welcome Reception social event.

How many hours will volunteers be expected to work?
On average successful applicants will be allocated one shift per day. Each shift will last for up to 4-5 hours and volunteers will receive rest breaks and meals. Volunteers will not be permitted to attend sessions during their shift, however they will be scheduled some time to attend the conference as a delegate. 

What if I am not available for the entire event?
Applications will still be considered even if an applicant is not available for the entire duration of the event. However, it is preferable for students to be available for most, if not all of the conference for logistical purposes. Please ensure you list your availability as accurately as possible on your application form. 

What will shifts involve?
Volunteer roles can include but are not limited to assisting with: registration desk, conference bag packing, admin duties, API booth, session counting, ushering, speaker assistance and roving microphones in sessions.

Please note: All successful volunteers must arrange their own accommodation and travel to and from the conference.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Global Property Congress Managers at register.apiglobal2025@arinexgroup.com

Registration
Cancellations before Friday 28 March 2025 will incur a A$150 cancellation fee.
Cancellations from Friday 28 March 2025 to Monday 28 April 2025 will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations on or after Monday 28 April 2025 will receive no refund.

Social Functions
Payments are non-refundable as at Monday 28 April 2025

Arinex is not responsible for any mandatory quarantine fees and travel and border responsibility rests with the individual arriving into Australia.

The Organiser and Host/s of GPC 2025 (the “Event”) reserve the right to remove from the venue/Event at any time any attendee deemed to be causing, or potentially causing, a disturbance or exhibiting disruptive or inappropriate behaviour. Such removal does not constitute a right to refund of any fees paid. Please view the Code of Conduct here which all attendees are expected to comply with.
