Field Tours

Optional Field Tours are available for all delegates to attend on 23 March 2023.

Buses will depart from outside the conference venue (Empire Theatre) in Neil St, Toowoomba at 7.45am and return to the same location at 5.30-6.00pm.

This tour consists of an Agronomy tour that will visit a successful pulse cropping farm and a long-term farming systems trial on the central Downs

This tour consists of a Research tour that will return to the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba to meet with researchers and inspect facilities, including the Centres for Crop Health and Agricultural Engineering

This tour consists of a Processor tour that will visit two successful companies value-adding to tropical pulses – the Olam group at Mt Tyson and Maralong Milling at Westbrook. Local agronomists will provide commentary on the buses while travelling.

The Pulse Grains Society of Australia Inc is a newly established not-for profit body that has oversight of the Australian Pulse Conference. Registering for APC 2023 will give complimentary associate membership to PGSA Inc until the next conference.

The organisations main aim is to promote the scientific study of pulses, their fit to farming systems and end uses. Members will be invited to attend a series of webinars over the coming years which will promote pulse research and provide a forum for scientific interactions.

More information on PGSA Inc will be presented at the conference.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Managers at apc2023@arinex.com.au.  

Note: there will be a $150 administration fee charged for refunds on duplicate registration payments.

Registration
Cancellations before Wednesday 21 December 2022 will incur a A$150.00 cancellation fee.
Cancellations from Thursday 22 December 2022 to Wednesday 8 February 2023 will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations on or after Thursday 9 February 2023 will receive no refund.

Social 
Payments are non-refundable as at Thursday 9 February 2023.

Tours/Workshops
Payments are non-refundable as at Thursday 9 February 2023.

The Organiser and Host/s of the Australian Pulse Conference (the “Event”) reserve the right to remove from the venue/Event at any time any attendee deemed to be causing, or potentially causing, a disturbance or exhibiting disruptive or inappropriate behaviour. Such removal does not constitute a right to refund of any fees paid. Please view the Code of Conduct here which all attendees are expected to comply with.
